The American Foxhound is a large sized breed of Hound dog. It has been developed to be lighter and stand taller than the standard English Foxhound.
They are very friendly and good with children as well as the rest of the family. The American Foxhound can be known to become quite a pack leader even amongst humans and so its important they are raised correctly and not led into this train of thought. they also have quite a strong hunting instinct and will chase and interesting smell very quickly if given the oportunity.
