The Anatolian Shepherd Dog is extremely loyal and takes its role of guarding its owner and family incredibly strongly. They are bred to live much of their life away from socialisation and so can be stubborn and independent however. It is recommended that they are socialised from a young age to help them fit into a family situation well.
