The Border Collie is a medium sized Pastoral dog bred for herding and originating from the UK. Considered to be the most intelligent breed of dog they are very energetic and considered to be the worlds best sheep herding dogs.
They are close family pets who become protective and affectionate to those they know. The Border Collie does need a lot of exercise and plenty of space as well as mental stimulation.
