The Japanese Akita Inu is a Large Utility breed of dog which originates from Japan. They are intelligent dogs which can get bored quite easily, resulting in destructive behaviour.

The breed tends to be very devoted to their owners and can get quite aggressive with strangers. The Japanese Akita Inu was bred to work alone rather than in packs and so require proper socialisation with other dogs from an early age.
